Our state and region has had an early voting turnout we have never seen before! Early voting continues for a few more days and election day is Tuesday, November 6th.

School Funding
The state legislature and the Governor directly control the amount of money our schools receive. Votes for Lieutenant Governor, State Senator, State Representative, and Governor are essential.

Do you think our schools need adequate funding for the work you do? Vote!

Health Insurance
The state legislature set up the TRS ActiveCare health insurance program and sets the contribution levels for districts and the state. Many districts have contributed more, and you have paid more in premiums. The state has not increased their contribution since the program’s inception in 2003.

Tired of taking home less money because of rising health insurance premiums? Vote!

The Texas Senate has passed legislation during the past few sessions that would divert public school money to private schools in various “voucher” schemes.

Do you believe public money should stay with public schools? Vote!

Retiree Healthcare and Pensions
Retired employees have not seen a cost-of-living adjustment to their pensions in over 15 years. What little money they do receive is being taken with high insurance premiums and out-of-control prescription drug prices. The state legislature and Governor are responsible for pension decisions and money for insurance.

Do you believe our retired employees deserve a higher level of respect for their lifetime dedication to students and their profession? Vote!
